Welcome to The Old Post Office Boutique Guesthouse
Situated in the heart of the picturesque coastal town of Hythe, The Old Post Office Guesthouse is the perfect place for a seaside retreat.
The Old Post Office was built in 1910, paid for by the Mackesons (a wealthy local brewing family). This is when it began its journey as the Hythe Post Office. It was used for money orders, telegraph/telephone exchange and as a public call office. Today, you can find all sorts of artefacts nodding back towards the buildings original function, from old letter boxes to postal sacks, you’ll love the eclectic mix of old meets new.
The Boutique Guesthouse was recently taken over by local couple Jamie and Anne Marie who are finally fulfilling their lifelong dream of owning a guesthouse. They adore the guesthouse and all of its history and the pride they take in their new venture is evident upon arrival!
Any questions or queries, just ask. If you prefer to talk, call us but we may be busy with our guests. Leave a message and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
